Book a call
Hi, I'm Vuk

Home services SEO that brings in calls for every service you offer

When the garage door won't open or the ants are back in the kitchen, people search Google or ask ChatGPT, then call one of the first companies they see. I make sure that's you, for the one-off repair and for the plan that keeps them coming back. That's home services SEO, and I do every part of it myself.

People search for one job, not for a list of services

Someone whose garage door spring just snapped searches for spring repair, right now. Someone with a list of small fixes searches for a handyman in their town. If your Google profile and your site don't show up for that exact job, the call goes to the next company on the list.

Why those calls go to someone else
01

One Services page for twenty jobs

Garage doors, appliance repair, handyman work and dryer vents all squeezed onto one page. A list like that rarely shows up for “dryer vent cleaning in Lakeside”.

02

Your Google profile says one thing

Google asks for the fewest categories that describe your main business. Most of what else you do has to be explained on your site, where Google can read it.

03

Competitors look safer

A few old reviews, no license number where your state wants one and no real photos look like a gamble. Massachusetts even warns garage door customers about lookalike companies.

The fixI build a page for each service, job and town, set up your Google profile the way Google wants it, grow your reviews so you look like the safe pick, and make calling easy on a phone.

Everything it takes to win home service jobs from search, done for you

You don't get a report full of homework. SEO for home service companies has a lot of moving parts, and I handle all of them, from start to finish.

The pages that bring in the jobs you want

Most home service sites have a Home page, an About page and one Services page that lists everything from springs to fridges. People search for one job, often in one town, like “garage door spring repair in Westfield”. I plan, write and build these pages for you.

01

Service-line hubs

One hub for each thing you do, like garage doors, appliance repair or handyman work, with links to the jobs inside it.

02

One page per job

Rough costs, how fast you come out, real photos and a big call button, for the jobs you want more of.

03

Town pages

One for each main town you cover, with jobs you've done there. Not the same text with the name swapped.

04

Cost and answer pages

What does a new garage door cost? What does a handyman charge? The questions Google answers with AI Overviews.

05

Plan and membership pages

Maintenance, pest or cleaning plans people can join online, for steady work in slow months.

I write every page from what you and your crew already know. Nothing goes live until you've approved it.

You'll see what search brings in for each service line

Rankings are nice. Booked jobs pay the bills. Every month you get a report that starts with calls, booked jobs and plan sign-ups from search, split by service, so you know which ones are growing.

Two businesses that needed more leads, and what changed

Neither is a home service company. One is a stone supplier, the other an HR software company. Both needed the same things most home service companies need, like pages built around how people search, a faster site and links from the right sites.

The person behind Win The Search

Vukasin Ilić, home services SEO consultant
Vukasin IlićNovi Sad, Serbia

I've run Win The Search since 2021, and I've done SEO since I was 14.

Before going out on my own, I spent five years at Munday Digital. I started there as a junior and left as head of SEO, after working on 20+ campaigns for Australian and global brands and managing the team of SEOs, writers and VAs behind them.

Since then I've worked on 120+ projects, including a 30-year-old marble and stone supplier and an HR software company that both needed more leads from search.

I plan the work and I do it myself, across every service line, from the Google profile and the pages to the technical fixes, AI search and tracking. Nothing gets handed off to a junior.

My reports lead with calls, booked jobs and plan sign-ups from search, split by service, because that's what keeps your crews busy. Rankings and traffic are in there too.

What home services SEO costs

Home services SEO companies usually charge $1,200 to $5,000 a month, and some add setup fees. Here's what I charge for the whole job, and everything that's in it.

Ongoing work from$2,500a month, month-to-month

Most clients land between $3,000 and $6,000, depending on how many services and towns you cover and how much I build each month.

FAQ

What owners ask about home services SEO

Something else on your mind? Ask me on a free call.

Book a free call →

What is home services SEO?

+

It's the work that gets a home service company found on Google, on the map and in AI tools like ChatGPT, for every service it offers. That means a Google Business Profile set up the way Google wants, a page for each service, job and town, steady reviews, a site that works well on a phone, and tracking that shows which searches turned into booked jobs. The map side of it is called local SEO for home services.

Can you help handyman, garage door, pest control and cleaning companies?

+

Yes. Those are the companies I built this service for, along with appliance repair, junk removal, locksmiths and companies that run several services under one name. Franchise owners too, usually for the local Google profile and local pages, within the brand's rules. If you run one trade, I have pages that go deeper on HVAC SEO, plumbing SEO, electrician SEO, roofing SEO, remodeling SEO and landscaping SEO.

How much does SEO for home services cost?

+

Home services SEO companies usually charge $1,200 to $5,000 a month, and some add setup fees or 6 to 12-month contracts. Ongoing work with me starts at $2,500 a month, and most clients land between $3,000 and $6,000, depending on how many services and towns you cover and how much I build each month. It's month-to-month.

How long until SEO brings in more calls?

+

Fixes to your Google profile and to pages already close to the top can bring in calls within weeks. New pages usually take 3 to 6 months to rank, and calls follow the rankings. Every service line also has its own busy season. Searches for pest control roughly double from December to July, so I build each line's pages a few months before its peak.

We offer several services. Does each one need its own Google profile?

+

Usually not. Google wants the fewest categories that describe your core business. A service gets its own profile only if it runs as a separate public-facing department or brand, with its own name, and Google won't let you combine two brand names in one profile. So your profile leads with the main business and lists your services, and your site carries the rest, with a page for each service.

We pay for Angi, Thumbtack or Local Services Ads. Why add SEO?

+

On Angi Leads, which used to be HomeAdvisor Pro, a Market Match lead can go to up to four pros, and you pay for it whether or not you respond. Thumbtack customers often contact several pros too. Ads stop the day the budget does. Calls from your own Google profile and website go to you alone, with no cost per call. Local Services Ads also need a verified Google profile, so that work helps there too. Most companies keep one lead source running while search builds up.

What advertising rules apply to home service companies?

+

It depends on your trade and your state. California wants a contractor's license number in every ad, website included, and handymen without a license have to say so and keep jobs under $1,000. Pest control companies can't advertise treatments as “safe” or “harmless” in Texas or New Jersey. The FTC bans fake reviews, and Google doesn't allow asking only happy customers for one. I write your pages with the rules for your trade and state in mind.

Does this help with ChatGPT and AI search?

+

Yes. In BrightLocal's 2026 survey, 45% of consumers said they use ChatGPT or other AI tools for local recommendations, up from 6% the year before. The answers lean on your Google profile, your reviews, the sites that list you and clear pages about each service, so the same work helps you get named in AI answers too. Nobody can promise you a spot, but you can be where AI looks.

Why hire a consultant instead of a home service SEO agency?

+

With an agency you usually talk to an account manager while the work happens somewhere else. With me you talk to the person who plans the work and does it for everything you offer, so nobody has to learn your business twice. If you want ads, social media and a new website all from one place, an agency is the better fit.

What do you need from us, and who owns the accounts?

+

Access to your website, Google profile, Search Console, analytics and booking software, photos from jobs, and a short call whenever I plan new pages. You stay the owner of every account, page and tracking number. If an old agency owns your site or profile, I'll help you get it back.

What will the monthly report show?

+

Calls, booking requests, booked jobs and plan sign-ups from search, and what they were worth, split by service line, like garage doors, appliance repair or handyman work. Booked jobs come from your booking software or your own records, so the numbers are real money. Traffic, rankings and AI visibility are in there too, but they come second.

Does it matter what our website is built on?

+

Most sites can rank. If yours is on WordPress, I make the changes on the site myself. If it's on another platform, I send them to whoever manages your site with exact instructions and check them once they're live.
