Moving company SEO that brings in booked moves, not shared leads
Someone near you just sold a house or signed a lease. Next they search Google or ask ChatGPT for movers, then call one of the first names that look legit. With SEO for moving companies, I make sure that's you!
Paid leads stop when the budget does. Search keeps the phone ringing.
If you buy leads from quote sites, the same request goes to several movers at once, and you pay for it whether or not you book the move. Calls from your own Google profile and website go to you alone, in peak season and in the slow months.
One Services page for every move
People search for one move in one place, like “apartment movers in Oak Park”. A single page that lists every service can’t show up for all of those searches.
Nothing on the site says you're real
No address, no DOT or registration number, no photos of your own trucks, and the newest review is from last year. People are wary of moving scams, so they call whoever looks safest.
Quote sites crowd the results
Under the map, “moving companies near me” is mostly quote sites and directories. You can beat them on the map and on routes, towns and move types, where their pages are generic.
Everything a mover needs to win search, done for you
You don't get a report full of homework. I handle the whole job of getting your company found, chosen and called, from start to finish.
Get found
Show up on the map and in Google
Get chosen
Look like the safe mover to call
Get recommended
Be the name Google, AI and neighbors trust
Get the call
Turn searches into calls and booked moves
The pages that fill your trucks
A lot of moving sites stop at a Home page, an About page and one Services page that tries to cover it all. That’s not enough to show up for “long distance movers in Westfield”. I plan these pages, write them and build them on your site.
Local move pages
Apartments, houses and labor-only help, with crew sizes and how your pricing works. Your steady volume.
Long-distance pages
Interstate moves and your most common routes, with how estimates work and your DOT number. Your biggest tickets.
Commercial pages
Office and after-hours moves, written for the office and facility managers who book them.
Town pages
One for each main town you cover, with moves you've done there. Not the same text with the name swapped.
Answer pages
What a move costs, binding estimates, mover or broker, how to spot a scam. The things people check before they call.
You'll see exactly what search booked
Rankings are nice. Full trucks pay the bills. Every month I send you a report that starts with calls, booked moves and revenue from search, so you always know what the work is worth.
Every call traced to its source
You'll see which calls and quote requests came from the map, your website and AI answers, and the page that brought them in.
Booked moves and the revenue behind them
I match calls and quotes with your moving CRM, so you see which ones turned into local, long-distance and office moves.
Rankings and traffic too
Your spots on the map, in Google and in AI answers are in there too, just further down.
What the same work did in other industries
These aren't moving companies. The work is the same, though. Pages built around how people search, faster sites, good links and getting named in AI answers.
A 30-year-old business up against strong competitors, with a site that took over 3 seconds to load and products that were hard to find. I planned the pages around how people search, made the site faster, reorganized the collections and built links from relevant, quality sites.
ChatGPT and Google's AI kept quoting the company's pages without naming the company. So I put its name on the pages AI already trusted, rebuilt key pages to be easier to quote and set up tracking for AI visits.
More results in the case studies.
What the first 90 days look like
No waiting months for a strategy deck. I start in week one, and changes go live on your site and your Google profile within the first month.
Find what's worth winning
I look at your site, your Google profile, the movers and quote sites you're up against and what people in your area search for. Then you get a plan ranked by what will bring in the most booked moves.
Fix what's holding you back
I fix your Google profile, slow pages and quote forms, put your registration numbers and address where people look, and set up call tracking so you can see what changes.
Build the missing pages
I build your first route, move-type and town pages with your input, and set up a simple way to ask every customer for a review.
Keep building, keep reporting
More pages, reviews, links and AI search work. Every month you get a report in calls, booked moves and revenue, and we get on a call to plan what's next.
Spring
March to MayLong-distance and family moves book early, so route pages need to rank by now.
Summer
June to AugustPeak season. Trucks fill up, I push for reviews, and there's no point buying leads you can't serve.
Fall
September to NovemberOffice moves, storage and smaller local jobs, and I fix whatever summer showed.
Winter
December to FebruaryI build route and town pages, and collect reviews from summer moves.
The person behind Win The Search

I've run Win The Search since 2021, and I've done SEO since I was 14.
Before going out on my own, I spent five years at Munday Digital. I started there as a junior and left as head of SEO, after working on 20+ campaigns for Australian and global brands and managing the team of SEOs, writers and VAs behind them.
Since then I've worked on 120+ projects, including a 30-year-old stone supplier up against bigger competitors, and checked sites for SEO before buyers paid six and seven figures for them.
I plan the work and I do it, from the Google profile and the pages to the technical fixes, AI search and tracking. Nothing gets handed off to a junior.
What I care about is what search brings in. So I measure my work the way you would, in calls, booked moves and what those moves are worth.
What moving company SEO costs
Moving company SEO agencies usually charge $1,500 to $5,000 a month, and big multi-branch programs run far higher. With me it's one price for the whole job, done by the person you talk to.
Most clients land between $3,000 and $6,000, depending on how many towns and routes you cover and how much I build each month.
An agency makes sense if you want ads, social media and a new website under one contract. If you mainly want more booked moves from search, you'll get more done working with the person doing the work.
Want a check first? An SEO audit starts at $1,500, and the full fee counts toward ongoing work if it starts within 30 days.
What clients say about working with me
Vukasin is the best SEO guy I have ever worked with. He has a very strong understanding of SEO and how it correlates to our business expectations, and hardly needed any guidance on what we wanted done. Highly recommended!
Vuk is one of the sharpest SEO/AEO specialists I've worked with — deeply knowledgeable, always a step ahead on where search is heading, and just a joy to collaborate with. Responsive, easy to talk to, and genuinely fun to work with on any project.
Vuk exceeded expectations with his thorough, data-driven SEO audit. Everyone was very impressed with the quality of Vuk's work, his thoughtfulness and clear expertise. Plus, he's easy to work with, delivers on what he says he's going to deliver, and goes above and beyond.
An amazing SEO consultant whose knowledge goes beyond surface level. He's able to outsmart the thousand SEOs who are just looking at what everyone else is doing.
Vuk provides a really wonderful alternative to larger agencies. The results I got from working with him definitely rival what I've gotten from larger, US-based SEO agencies.
I'm impressed with the work he has put in to help me form my SEO strategy. Knowledgeable about the industry, timely with his work and generous with his advice.

+
It's the work that gets your moving company found when people search for movers, on Google Maps, in the regular results and in AI tools like ChatGPT. That means a strong Google Business Profile, pages for your move types, towns and main routes, recent reviews, trust details like your DOT number and address, and tracking that shows which calls and moves came from search. A lot of SEO for movers is local SEO, plus route pages if you cross state lines.
What do you actually do each month?
+
It changes with the seasons and as the site grows, but I do all of it myself. That covers your Google profiles, new pages for your routes, towns and move types, rewrites, technical fixes, reviews, listings and links, AI search and call tracking, plus a monthly report and a call. You won't get a to-do list from me.
How much does SEO for a moving company cost?
+
Moving company SEO agencies usually charge $1,500 to $5,000 a month. Some niche shops start around $500, and big multi-branch programs run far higher. Ongoing work with Win The Search starts at $2,500 a month, and most clients land between $3,000 and $6,000, depending on how many towns, routes and branches you cover and how much I build each month. It's month-to-month, with a 30-day walk-away.
How long until SEO brings in more booked moves?
+
Fixes to your Google profile and to pages already close to the top can bring in calls within weeks. New pages usually take 3 to 6 months to rank, and calls follow the rankings. Long-distance searches start climbing early in the year, so I like route pages live by late winter, well before the summer rush.
We already buy leads and run Local Services Ads. Why add SEO?
+
A shared lead means racing other movers to win a customer you've already paid for. Ads and Local Services Ads stop the day you stop paying, and the average estimate for Google Ads click on “long distance movers” is at about $25. Calls from your own Google profile and website go to you alone and cost nothing per call. I'd keep some paid leads running while search builds up, then cut back where search takes over.
Will SEO bring in long-distance moves, or only local ones?
+
Both, if the pages are there. Searches like “interstate movers” or “cross country movers” need their own pages, plus a page for each route you run often, like your town to Phoenix or Denver. Each one explains your estimates and shows your DOT number, reviews and real trucks. HireAHelper puts a 2 to 3 bedroom move of about 1,200 miles at $2,000 to $6,500, so a few extra a month add up fast.
Does this help with ChatGPT and AI search?
+
Yes. 45% of US consumers said they use AI tools like ChatGPT for local business recommendations, and Google shows an AI Overview on big long-distance searches like “long distance movers” and “interstate movers”. The answers lean on your Google profile, your reviews, the sites that list you and clear pages about your moves. So the same work that wins the map gets you named in AI answers too. Nobody can promise you a spot, but you can be where AI looks.
Do we need our U.S. DOT number on our website and ads?
+
If you move households across state lines, yes. Federal rules say every ad must show your registered company name and “U.S. DOT No.” with your number, and your website has to link FMCSA's “Ready to Move?” guide or show a copy. Brokers have extra rules. Some states add their own, like Florida's mover registration number in every ad, so it varies by state. I build all of it into your pages, footer and Google profile.
How do we show up on Google Maps with more than one branch?
+
Google Maps leans on where your business is, so each branch with its own address and crew can have its own verified profile, with its own reviews and photos. Towns you serve without a branch get a good page on your site instead.
Why hire a consultant instead of a moving company SEO agency?
+
With an agency you usually talk to an account manager while the work happens somewhere else. With me, you talk to the person who plans the work and does it. If you want ads, social media, conversion rate optimization and a new website from one place, at highly marked up price, an agency is the better fit.
What do you need from us, and who owns the accounts?
+
Access to your website, Google profiles, Search Console and analytics, plus photos of your trucks and crews and a short call when I plan new pages. You own every account, page and tracking number. If your site runs on WordPress, I make the changes right on it. If not, I send exact steps to whoever manages it and check them once they're live.
What will the monthly report show?
+
Calls and quote requests from search and the moves they turned into, split into local, long-distance and office moves, with the revenue and the pages that brought them in. You'll also see whether each call came from the map, your website or an AI answer. Traffic, rankings and AI visibility are in there too, just further down.
