SEO for accountants that brings in the right clients, all year
Business owners search Google and ask ChatGPT when they need an accountant, and even referrals check your site before they call. My work makes sure the clients you want find your firm, see you're a fit and book a consultation.
The clients you want search all year. Most firm sites are built for tax season.
Business owners search for help with bookkeeping, payroll, a CFO or an accountant who knows their trade, every month of the year. Those searches lead to monthly clients. If your site doesn't show up for them, those clients go to the firm that does.
Your site leads with tax returns
So Google and AI send you the busiest, most price-driven searches of the year, and little else.
No page for the clients you want
Someone looking for an accountant who knows construction, dental practices or startups needs a page about exactly that. One Services page can't win those searches.
Referrals look you up and move on
Even a warm referral checks your site first. A thin site with no clear way to book a call can lose them.
Everything it takes to win clients from search, done for you
You don't get a report full of homework for your team to fit in between deadlines. You get the whole job of getting your firm found, chosen and booked, handled from start to finish.
Get found
Show up when business owners search Google
Get chosen
Give the right clients a reason to pick you
Get recommended
Show up on the map, in AI answers and across the web
Get booked
Turn visits into booked consultations
The pages that bring in the right clients
Most firm sites have a Home page, a Team page and one Services page for everything. Business owners search for one service, or for an accountant who knows their industry, so they need to land on a page about exactly that. These get planned, written and built for you.
Service pages
Tax, bookkeeping, payroll, advisory and CFO work, each with who it's for and how to get started.
Industry pages
For the kinds of clients you want more of, written in their words.
Office pages
A page and a Google profile for each office, kept in sync.
Answer pages
The questions business owners ask before hiring, answered clearly enough for AI to quote.
Proof
Your team, credentials and the businesses you work with, on the pages that sell.
You'll see exactly what search brought in
Traffic is nice. New clients pay the bills. Every month you get a report that starts with consultations and signed clients, so you always know what the work is worth.
Every consultation traced to a page
You'll see which service, industry and office pages, and which searches, brought in each call, form and booking.
Good fits and signed clients, not just leads
Results come from your CRM or practice software, so the report shows who signed and what they're worth a year.
Rankings and traffic too
Google, the map and AI search visibility are in there as well, just further down.
What this work has done for other businesses
Pages built around what buyers search, a site Google can read, and links from the right sites.
It barely showed up in Google in its main markets. The technical problems got fixed, the site was rebuilt around what buyers search, and links came from relevant sites.
A 30-year-old business up against strong competitors. The pages were planned around how people search, the site got faster and links came from quality sites.
ChatGPT and Google's AI kept quoting its pages without naming it. The name went onto the pages AI already trusted, and key pages were rebuilt.
What the first 90 days look like
No waiting months for a strategy deck. Work starts in week one, and changes start going live in the first month. It keeps going through tax season and needs very little of your time.
Find what's worth winning
A look at your site, your competitors and what your best clients search for, plus a call with a partner about who you want more of. You get a plan ranked by what brings in the most of them.
Fix what's holding you back
Technical problems, slow pages, your Google profile, consultation forms, and tracking for every call, form and booking.
Build the missing pages
Your first service and industry pages, written for you and checked by a partner before they go live.
Keep building, keep reporting
More pages, mentions and links, AI search work, and a report in consultations and new clients.
Small practices
One to three partners. Tax, bookkeeping and payroll, mostly for local businesses.
Service pages and a strong Google profile that bring in monthly clients, not just returns.
Firms with a niche
Most of your clients are one kind of business, like contractors, dentists or startups.
Pages in that industry’s words, so more of the same clients find you.
Firms with a few offices
Two or more offices, or a firm that grew by merging with others.
A page and a Google profile for each office, with numbers for each one.
The person behind Win The Search

I've run Win The Search since 2021, and I've done SEO since I was 14.
Before going out on my own, I spent five years at Munday Digital. I started there as a junior and left as head of SEO, after working on 20+ campaigns for Australian and global brands and managing the team of SEOs, writers and VAs behind them.
Since then I've worked on 120+ projects, including B2B companies, a global HR software company and a 30-year-old stone supplier, and checked sites for SEO before buyers paid six and seven figures for them.
I plan the work and I do the work: the pages, the technical fixes, your Google profile, the AI search side and the tracking. Nothing gets handed off to a junior.
That's why reports lead with consultations and new clients from search, by service and by office. Traffic and rankings are there too, further down.
What accounting SEO costs
Agencies that work with accounting firms usually charge $2,000 to $8,000 a month, and packages start around $500. Here's the price for the whole job, and everything that's in it.
Most clients land between $3,000 and $6,000, depending on how many offices you have and how much gets built each month.
An agency makes sense if you want ads, a new website and social media under one contract. If SEO is what you need, you'll get more done with the person doing the work.

Vukasin is the best SEO guy I have ever worked with. He has a very strong understanding of SEO and how it correlates to our business expectations, and hardly needed any guidance on what we wanted done. Highly recommended!
Vuk is one of the sharpest SEO/AEO specialists I've worked with — deeply knowledgeable, always a step ahead on where search is heading, and just a joy to collaborate with. Responsive, easy to talk to, and genuinely fun to work with on any project.
Vuk exceeded expectations with his thorough, data-driven SEO audit. Everyone was very impressed with the quality of Vuk's work, his thoughtfulness and clear expertise. Plus, he's easy to work with, delivers on what he says he's going to deliver, and goes above and beyond.
An amazing SEO consultant whose knowledge goes beyond surface level. He's able to outsmart the thousand SEOs who are just looking at what everyone else is doing.
Vuk provides a really wonderful alternative to larger agencies. The results I got from working with him definitely rival what I've gotten from larger, US-based SEO agencies.
I'm impressed with the work he has put in to help me form my SEO strategy. Knowledgeable about the industry, timely with his work and generous with his advice.

It's the work that gets your firm found when business owners search for the help you offer, on Google, on the map and in AI tools like ChatGPT. That means a page for each service and kind of client you want, a complete Google Business Profile, a site that's fast and easy to use, mentions on other sites, and tracking that shows which searches turn into consultations. The map side is called local SEO, and it's part of the job.
What do you actually do each month?
+
The work changes as the site grows, but it's all done for you: research, new pages and rewrites, technical fixes, your Google profile, AI search work, links and mentions, tracking, and a monthly report with a call. You don't get a to-do list. You get the work.
How much does accounting SEO cost?
+
Agencies that work with accounting firms usually charge $2,000 to $8,000 a month, and packages start around $500. Ongoing work with Win The Search starts at $2,500 a month, most clients land between $3,000 and $6,000, and it's month-to-month. If month one isn't worth what you paid, you get it back in full.
How long until we see more consultations?
+
Fixes to your Google profile and to pages already close to page one can show up within weeks. New service and industry pages usually take 3 to 6 months to rank, and consultations follow the rankings. Anyone who promises a date is guessing.
Will SEO just bring in people who want a cheap tax return?
+
Not if the pages are built for the clients you want. Tax-return searches crowd into a few months and lean on price. Searches for bookkeeping, payroll, advisory and help in a specific industry run all year and come from businesses looking for a firm to stay with, so that's where most of the work goes. Your consultation form can also ask what someone needs, so you can screen before the call.
We're buried every tax season. How much of our time does this take?
+
Very little. Most of it is a short call when new pages get planned and a partner checking each page before it goes live. The work keeps going through busy season, and anything that needs you gets planned around your deadlines.
Most of our clients come from referrals. Do we still need SEO?
+
Referrals stay valuable, and SEO adds to them. Most referred clients still look up your firm before they call, and a thin site can lose a client someone sent your way. Search also reaches business owners outside your network who are looking for exactly what you do.
Are there advertising rules we need to watch?
+
Yes. Your state board and professional code don't allow false or misleading advertising, and your website and listings count. So the pages stick to facts about your services and your team, with no promised results or savings. A partner checks every page before it goes live.
Does this help with ChatGPT and AI search?
+
Yes. More business owners now ask ChatGPT or Google's AI which accountant to call, especially for something specific like a CFO for a startup. Those tools lean on clear pages, your Google profile, your reviews and mentions on other sites. So the work that ranks you in Google also helps get your firm named in AI answers.
Why hire a consultant instead of an accounting marketing agency?
+
With an agency you usually talk to an account manager while the work happens somewhere else, often by junior staff. Here you talk to the person who plans the work and does it, so nobody has to learn your firm twice. An agency is the better fit if you want ads, social media and a new website under one contract.
What will the monthly report show?
+
Consultation requests from search, which ones were a good fit, the clients you signed and what they're worth a year, and which pages and searches brought them in. With more than one office, each office gets its own numbers. Traffic and rankings are in there too, just further down.
Does it matter what our website is built on?
+
Most sites can rank. If yours is on WordPress, the changes get made on the site directly. If it's on another platform, they go to whoever manages your site with exact instructions, and get checked once they're live. That includes the website services many accounting firms use.
